One of A Woman's Work selected artist, Tessa Bunney is currently showing her 25 years of photography work on rural life Otherwise Unseen at Side Gallery, Newcastle until 5th April 2020.
Closely working with the various rural communities and individuals spanning from Europe to South East Asia, Tessa investigates how humans shape the landscape. From hill farmers near her home in North Yorkshire to Icelandic puffin hunters, from Finnish ice swimmers to Romanian nomadic shepherds her projects reveal the fascinating intricacies of the dependencies between people, work and the land.
Otherwise Unseen exhibits four series of work, Home Work, Hand to Mouth, The Nam Ou and FarmerFlorist.
